Two phases for U.S. manufacturing

Faymonville Group plans to invest more than $100 million in its first U.S. trailer manufacturing facility in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Luxembourg-based company has selected the Port of Little Rock for the project and expects production to begin in early 2026.

The development has two planned stages:

  • Phase one would provide 409,000 square feet of production space.
  • Phase two would expand the production site to 624,000 square feet.
  • The fully developed facility is expected to create 500 jobs.

Components, service and production roles

The selected property covers 54 acres. During the first phase, Faymonville intends to manufacture individual components in Little Rock while preparing for in-house vehicle production. The company also plans to strengthen service and spare-parts support for Cometto vehicles.

The proposed employment opportunities span steel construction, surface treatment and final assembly, alongside office roles. Faymonville's October announcement identified these areas as recruitment priorities for the new location.

Existing manufacturing network

Faymonville's three vehicle brands are MAX Trailer, Faymonville and Cometto. Its transport range includes low loaders, lowbed trailers, flatbed trailers, inloaders and modular vehicles for special and heavy transport.

The family-owned group employs 1,400 people across four manufacturing locations in Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland and Italy. Together, these operations produce approximately 3,000 units annually. Vehicles reach 125 countries, and the group generated around $500 million in revenue in 2023.

From market entry to site selection

Faymonville delivered its first vehicle to the United States in 2016. A relationship with Hale Trailer introduced the company to Arkansas. In June 2024, the Little Rock Regional Chamber and Arkansas Economic Development Commission hosted a visit to potential locations.

Further meetings accompanied the Farnborough International Airshow in July. Company executives returned to Arkansas in August to examine properties before selecting the Little Rock site in late September. Production and employment milestones remain future objectives under the announced development plan.
